Volunteer & fundraise

There are several ways you can get involved with the Dementia Dog Project and support its work.

These are the current volunteering opportunities available:

Temporary boarder

Provide temporary accommodation for one of our dogs in training in your home on weekday evenings and weekends. Download the role description.

To register your interest in being a temporary boarder, please email bark@dementiadog.org

We’re a small project with big ambitions, so your support will really count.

Since Dementia Dog is a charitable collaboration and not a charity in its own right, the best way to raise money for Dementia Dog is via Alzheimer Scotland, which is one of the key project partners and a registered charity. Just follow the simple steps below.

Email us at bark@dementiadog.org with your:

  • Contact details, details of your fundraising activity, timings and anticipated fundraising target

  • How you wish to fundraise e.g. online through JustGiving or offline so need sponsorship forms

  • Any Alzheimer Scotland promotional material you would like in support of your event.

The Dementia Dog team will help set up any support required from Alzheimer Scotland and ensure any funds raised are allocated specifically to the Dementia Dog Project.
