The Dementia Dog Project is only able to expand thanks to generous funding.
Life Changes Trust
We were delighted to receive a significant three year Life Changes Trust Award in 2016, which has enabled us to embark on a second phase of providing dementia assistance dogs for people in Scotland.
The Big Lottery Fund
A three year grant from the Big Lottery Fund will allow us to take our learnings beyond an individual assistance dog approach, to support people with dementia in community settings in Scotland and England.
Tynetec is a part of the LeGrand Group and have worked closely with Alzheimer Scotland in developing innovative approaches to dementia friendly design of technology in the home.
Their staff have raised nearly £17,000 to sponsor Billy, the UK’s first dementia community dog, in special memory of their late colleague and friend Billy Graham.
As a charitable collaboration we are dependent on donations to undertake our work. In addition to our major funders listed above, we are immensely grateful for all other donations made to the project.
